Maltanet's and DataStream's executive teams met at the Radisson for a strategy workshop to discuss the technology roadmap of the newly merged company.

The session was very dynamic and consisted of various presentations put together in the previous weeks by different working groups within the two companies. The workshop was part of a wider strategy project being led by senior research and development executives Kelvin Camenzuli and Stephen Camilleri.

Commenting on the workshop, CEO Keith Fearne said: "Innovation is a core value on which our merged teams will be focusing. We have set up a research and development team reporting directly to the CEO, made up of seasoned senior executives, who have the required experience and knowledge in the field.

"We believe that for the company to retain an edge, we have to invest and offer top-level career paths not only in operational management roles, but also in technology.

"One of the projects led by the R&D team, which is under continuous review, and which this workshop was a part of, is looking at our technology roadmap to ensure that we can continue to offer the best and most innovative services to our customers."
