It was Malta’s turn today to welcome the Queen’s Baton Relay, which has been the Commonwealth Games’ curtain raiser since 1958.

The baton arrives at Malta International Airport this afternoon and was taken to the Office of the Prime Minister accompanied by athletes and members of the Armed Forces of Malta.

Tomorrow, it will be taken to Gozo.
