A Croatia-born Serbian construction work who has lived in Ġzira for the past 11 years is to be extradited to Croatia to face proceedings over alleged crimes against humanity, kidnapping, torture and deportation to concentration camps.

Eror Gojko, 49, has been living in Malta for 11 years and was arrested on the strength of a European Arrest Warrant issued by the authorities in Zagreb.

He was taken to court this evening and consented to the extradition.
