Malta’s call centre and back office support industry was promoted at Birmingham’s Call Centre and Customer Managment Expo on Monday and Tuesday.

The Expo brought together 250 leading suppliers who showcased integrated customer solutions and cutting-edge education offerings to thousands of visitors.

The specialised event provided unique networking opportunities: it was an ideal opportunity for Malta Enterprise to be present to promote the local industry and attract further investment to the island.

As part of its internationalisation assistance, Malta Enterprise also supported Centrecom to participate in the Expo with a view to expanding its operations and attracting new clients.

The company is part of the World Aviation Group, which provides call centre, back office as well as airline representation services, among others to Air Malta.

The expansion of call centre activity in Malta falls within the country’s overall strategy aimed at promoting the sustainable growth of knowledge-based services in the economy, and has already witnessed a significant growth in recent years.

Malta continues to be an attractive location for call centre and back office support companies, not only due to the efficiency and skills of the workforce, which is also very proficient in languages, but also thanks to its economic stability as well as an attractive tax regime complemented by various incentives and schemes for investors.
