Birkirkara picked up their first three points of the season after they beat Tarxien Rainbows 2-0 this afternoon.

Michael Galea put the Stripes ahead after 11 minutes when he did well to control George Mallia’s pass before hitting a low shot past Tarxien goalkeeper Anthony Curmi.

Tarxien tried to get back into the match but it was Birkirkara who struck again on 78 minutes when Trevor Cilia’s inswinging cross was met by George Mallia with the ball finishing into the back of the net.
