The following are the top stories in the Maltese newspapers today.

Times of Malta reports how former Parliamentary Secretary Michael Falzon has landed a new state job.

It also reports in a second story that understaffing at the State mental hospital mean incidents involving patients have become “inevitable”, concerned nurses have complained.

MaltaToday says the launching of a political party by Marlene Farrugia is imminent. The party will use orange as its colour. It also says the site of the new Cospicua police station has been 'snatched' by the Sadeen group for the new American Institute. 

The Malta Independent says John Dalli has denied meeting subcontractors ahead of the Gozo hospital privatisation deal.

In-Nazzjon leads with the proposals announced by the PN yesterday for Air Malta.

l-orizzont says historic remains at Borg in-Nadur have been found damaged.
