The following are the top stories in the Maltese newspapers today.

Times of Malta leads with the funeral of Archbishop Guzeppi Mercieca and praise for his legacy. It also reports how Brussels is defiant in the face of terror.

The Malta Independent carries a big picture of yesterday's funeral Mass at St John's. It also says that the police are not investigating contracts in which Konrad Mizzi and Keith Schembri were involved.

In-Nazzjon says Mgr Mercieca was described as 'a man for all seasons'. It also reports on the attacks in Brussels. In other stories it reports how a court has again stopped the building of a wall on a belvedere in Nadur.

l-orizzont like the other newspapers covers the former archbishop's funeral. It also says that the government has reached a new agreement with Chinese phone-maker Huawei. A joint innovation centre will be set up.
