Wine and petit fours will be welcoming patrons visiting the Massimo Dutti outlet at The Point shopping mall in Tigné between tomorrow and Sunday as part of a special weekend event to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the brand.

Massimo Dutti was introduced in Malta in March and it has already established itself as a major high street brand in line with the profile it already enjoys around the world, a company statement said.

“Massimo Dutti is a celebration of that rather rare happening when a retail customer discovers accessibility to a sophisticated and high quality brand which then rewards his or her loyalty with value, quality, and status,” a spokesperson for the Big Bon Group, which represents the brand in Malta, said.

“The brand caters for both men and women who are after a high end brand at an accessible price tag without any compromise on quality. This is what is defining the competitive success of Massimo Dutti in Malta. This success is further supported by the fact that we stock new collections twice a week thus ensuring that regular clients are bound to find new clothing on every visit.”

Established in 1985 but purchased by the Spanish Inditex Group in 1991, Massimo Dutti started specialising mainly in the production and design of buttoned shirts for men, going on to develop the whole range of men’s fashion, until the company soon became a synonym for quality and prestige in the field.

In 1992, Massimo Dutti entered the field of women’s apparel. By 1993 the brand had 70 outlets and today, Massimo Dutti boasts over 490 outlets around the world.

Malta will be joining all major cities in the world in celebrating the 25th anniversary of the brand, which is owned by Spanish group Inditex.
