Elements from Malta's coast and towns will feature in the third segment of the popular computer game Just Cause, set to be released in December.

They will be used to portray the fictional  Mediterranean island Medici. A map of Maltawill be one of the biggest in the gaming industry.

Game director Roland Lesterlin says in his YouTube diary that Malta was the perfect location inspiration for his upcoming game.

“We thought about what places in the world have cliffs that are over a hundred meters tall? What places in the world have crystal clear waters? France, Greece, Spain, Corsica and Malta.”

The video diary even shows resemblance to the Blue Lagoon in Comino.

In the third game of the franchise, hero Rico Rodriguez returns to his homeland of Medici, an island under the control of dictator General Di Ravello who wants to dominate the world. Rico sets out to destroy his evil plans.

Just Cause 3 will be released on December 1, 2015 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
