The Malta Darts Association will be holding its 15th Malta International Open between today and Thursday at the Jerma Palace Hotel, Marsascala.

The opening day of the competition is reserved for the men's and ladies' doubles events while the singles will be played tomorrow. First matches start at 6 p.m. All four finals will be played on Thursday.

Andrew Keen, of England, will be defending the Malta Open title he won these past two years. This time around, he will be facing tough opposition from the likes of Sergio Pettarini, an Italian national team player, and Matt Clark, Embassy 2002 qualifier.

Other players in the tournament hail from Germany, Wales, Cyprus and India besides the top seeds in the local game.
