The Malta Trap Grand Prix got underway yesterday at Bidnija with the participation of 58 shooters.

Ideal weather conditions greeted the Maltese and Italian shooters on the opening day of competition during which the first two rounds of 25 clays each were held.

Nazzareno Attard and Giuseppe Cavassi managed a straight of 25. Attard is the provisional leader with 48 clays, the same as Bastjan Facciol.

The competition resumes today with another 50 clays and comes to a close tomorrow with the barrage final scheduled at 1 p.m.
