Marsaxlokk regained their position in the second place of the Premier League by beating Hamrun Spartans 4-3 in a tough match at Ta' Qali this evening.

Meilak put the Spartans ahead after 13 minutes.

Marsxlokk scored twice in either half thanks to Sammut, Alcorse (twice) and Madzar but Hamrun came back in the match with two goals in four minutes through a Sultana penalty and Timotic a minute before time.

In an earlier game, Hiberians beat Pieta Hotspurs 2-1.
