Foreign Minister Tonio Borg will have talks in Valletta this week with Bosnian Foreign Minister Sven Alkalaj, focusing on bilateral political and economic relations.

The two ministers will discuss a framework agreement to boost trade exchanges, including agreements on double taxation and an investment guarantee scheme.

Imports from Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2009 consisted of beverages and wood and paper products amounting to approximately to €61,799. Exports consisted of pharmaceuticals amounting to € 71,882.

The two ministers will also discuss the training of diplomats at the Malta-based Mediterranean Academy of Diplomatic Studies.
