Work is well advanced on two approach radars for Malta International Airport.

The new radars will feature new technology and improved coverage around Malta, officials of Malta Air Services explained.

The new radars will be located at Fawwara and Hal Far. They are expected to be commissioned in April.

Finance Minister Tonio Fenech said that Malta Air Traffic Services is investing €5 million on the project.
