Malta Airport has been included in the Airport Council International (ACI)’s Director General’s Roll of Excellence.

This exclusive list recognizes airports that have ranked among the top five in Airport Service Quality (ASQ) for their category on at least five different occasions.

Since 2011, 17 airports have made it to the Roll of Excellence. Malta Airport is the third European airport to receive such a prestigious recognition following Porto (Portugal) and Zurich (Switzerland).

In a letter to Malta Airport CEO Markus Klaushofer, ACI Director-General Angela Gittens said that she was delighted to announce that Malta International Airport was among four airports worldwide that will receive this recognition this year.

“I hope that you will continue to be a role model for airport service excellence and will work with us to raise the bar in service standards and best practices within the industry,” added Ms Gittens.

In his initial reaction to this news, Mr Klaushofer said that once again, Malta Airport’s investment in quality has been recognized.

He added that “it is imperative that we do not rest on our laurels and keep on focusing on the quality of the service we provide. But it is of great credit to all the Malta Airport family – our employees, management, shareholders, clients and other service providers – that our commitment is now enshrined in the ACI Director-General’s Roll of Excellence. We are proud of this achievement and assure all our passengers that our commitment in the future to build on this will be unwavering.”
