Malta is to launch a promotion campaign and raise the number of Air Malta flights to Tel Aviv in a campaign to raise the number of Israeli tourists to Malta, the Ministry of Tourism said.

Tourism Minister Konrad Mizzi is currently in Israel, where he visited the IMTM  tourism fair in Tel Aviv.

He said his ministry next year aimed to considerably increase the number of Israeli tourists to Malta. Arrivals over the past year reached 16,666.

Air Malta will fly five times a week to Tel Aviv during the summer and three times in the winter. It will also establish a sales distribution network in Israel.
