Pastor Maldonado has been handed his third grid penalty in two races ahead of today's Canadian Grand Prix.

Maldonado initially dropped 10 places in Monaco a fortnight ago for causing a collision in final practice with Sauber's Sergio Perez.

The Spanish Grand Prix winner then incurred another five-place drop in his Williams for an unscheduled gearbox change.

After qualifying 17th yesterday at Montreal's Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, the Venezuelan has suffered further gearbox woes which has resulted in another change and another five-place penalty, meaning he will now start 22nd.
