An education programme aimed at making music more enticing for the younger generations will be launched this year.

The programme forms part of an initiative by Bank of Valletta and the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra aimed at bringing the orchestra closer to the Maltese.

This is the third year BoV is collaborating with the MPO. During the first two years, the orchestra was equipped with a harpsichord and a grand piano, enabling the orchestra to broaden its repertoire.

“The MPO’s performances pla-nned for the year feature a wide range of musical genres, ranging from classic, religious and modern to enhance the orchestra’s appeal with our different audiences,” said MPO chairman and director James Scerri Worley at Robert Sammut Hall in Floriana.
