Ekornes, the Norwegian manufacturer of Stressless recliners, has featured its long-standing Maltese distributor Boris Arcidiacono in the December issue of its international newsletter, Inside.

The magazine reports how Arcidiacono’s relationship with Ekornes started way back in the early 1990s, when Arcidiacono quite by chance came across the company’s stand at the Cologne furniture fair. He was so impressed that he ordered an entire container of Stressless recliners and wrote out a cheque there and then for half the amount. Since then, says Ekornes’s marketing director, Runar Haugen, “we have always had an excellent relationship with Boris”.

This autumn Arcidiacono also visited Norway and attended the furniture fair at the Ekornes Bua showroom. During his visit he was given a tour of the plant, a demonstration of the new collection as well as a chance to experience the Norwegian scenery and culinary traditions.
