AD’s first proposal in Parliament would be to ensure meritocracy in top public appointments through public parliamentary hearings, chairman Michael Briguglio said this morning.

Addressing a news conference in Sliema, Dr Briguglio appealed to those who wanted a third party in parliament and to those who had not yet collected their vote to make history by voting AD and continuing with other candidates, if they so wanted.

AD spokesman Arnold Cassola said that two thousand votes in  a district would lead to a new era of parliamentary democracy, transparency and pluralism.
