Rebecca Madyson, a shooter of Maltese origins residing in Australia, yesterday finished sixth in the women's Trap event in this year's Commonwealth Championships which got underway yesterday in Melbourne.

Madyson is representing Malta for the first time at international level. During yesterday's competition she hit 40 from 50 clays and was classified sixth overall.

On Tuesday, Madyson will take part in another Trap event in the Commonwealth Championships - the ladies' singles championship. There will be more clays in this competition which rounds up with a barrage final.

Madyson is the only shooter representing Malta in the Commonwealth Championships.
