Madliena Village, the residential development overlooking Għar-għur valley, is back on track after having been bought by a consortium of Maltese developers and investors in late December. The development has been stalled for four years.

Madliena Village director of sales Neville Agius confirmed that works on the remaining three blocks is in full swing.

Twenty-seven apartments in three separate blocks will be placed on the market. Around €10 million is expected to be invested in the project.

According to Geoffrey Ciantar, operations director at real estate firm Fine and Country, it took over 18 months of negotiations to close the deal.

“We have always believed in the development’s potential,” he said. “The new buyers’ experience and proven track record, will give Madliena Village the credibility that it deserves.”

Carlo Schembri and Stefania Schembri, directors of Carlo and Stefania Design Studio, are responsible for the interior finishes and landscaping. Madliena Village will become a gated residential complex with full security and administrative services.

The development features a large, high-level open air swimming pool and sun-deck terraces, as well as pedestrian pathways and landscaped gardens.

The project will be officially launched at the Malta Property Expo at the MFCC in Ta Qali in March.
