Olympique Lyon believe their European disappointment will help them focus on tomorrow's Ligue 1 potential decider against Girondins Bordeaux.

Leaders Lyon, gunning for a seventh consecutive title, lead second-placed Bordeaux by three points with the Aquitaine side fearing a defeat would end their hopes of claiming a first crown since 1999.

"We now need to focus on the league. We have one match to win... we will play this game with certainty following our two matches against Manchester United," said Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas.

Although they were knocked out of the Champions League by Manchester United after a 2-1 aggregate defeat on Tuesday, Lyon's form has been improving.

However, Alain Perrin's side only have four days to recover while Bordeaux, already eliminated from the UEFA Cup, have had the whole week to gear up for the clash.

"It will be another Euro game," said coach Perrin. "We need to rest but I don't think we are psychologically affected by the elimination."

Bordeaux will rely on striker Fernando Cavenaghi, who has netted eight goals in the last eight games, and on Brazilian midfielder Wendel, who scored a hat-trick in his side's 3-0 hammering of Paris St Germain last weekend.

"We are going to Lyon to play a final. If they win on Sunday, they bag their seventh title.

"But if we do win, we'll be in the race until the end of the season", said Wendel.
