Louis Giordimaina is retiring from CEO of Lufthansa Technik Malta and will be serving the company as director with effect from September 1.

Mr Giordimaina, who was instrumental in the setting up and running of the company since it started 10 years ago, subsequently spearheaded its expansion in his role as CEO.

The company, now in its ninth year of operations, has recently completed its 600th aircraft maintenance check since commencement of operations in January 2003.

It now employs 600 people.

Lufthansa Technik will be announcing Mr Giordimaina's successor in due course.
