The driver of the white Hyundai above escaped unhurt this afternoon when he lost control of his car and crashed into a tree.

He was driving from Msida towards Valletta.

His car crashed into and uprooted three small trees and was then brought to a halt as it crashed into a bigger tree.

The car stopped exactly in front of a remembrance plaque for a man who died in a road accident in 2009.

The driver got out of the car on his own from the passenger door.
