Aloysians Prominent 24
Salesians 23

Salesians were rather unlucky to suffer another defeat in the men's league despite a spirited display against Aloysians who had some key players missing and coach Milos Stanisavljevic trying his skills in goal.

Salesians showed character and looked compact in defence and effective in their finishing. Certainly, they did not deserve to finish empty-handed.

Brendan Cascun played a blinder for Salesians. They were a goal up at half-time but slowed down their rhythm after the break as Aloysians scored four times without reply.

It was only after 13 minutes that Orlando Bonnici scored Salesians' first goal in the second half. This gave his team-mates enough confidence to regain the lead.

But Aloysians, with Roberto Ragonesi hitting 10 of his side's goals, kept calm and relied on all their experience to win the points after a battling performance from their modest opponents.

Standings: La Salle 21, Kavallieri 15, Aloysians 12, Salesians 0.
