Jet2.com, a UK-based low-cost airline, has started services to Malta from London Stansted, Birmingham and Belfast International.

It is now operating from eight UK airport to Malta, the others being East Midlands, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, Manchester and Newcastle.

In total, there are almost 65,000 seats on sale to Malta, compared to 40,000 in Summer 2017.

The airline said interest in travel to Malta was continuing to grow and it was seeing more bookings from younger holidaymakers.
