The Lotto Receivers Union yesterday registered an industrial dispute with Maltco claiming that the company was failing to abide by instructions issued by the Parliamentary Secretary at the Ministry of Finance.

The union said the prize money for lotto was no longer Lm500,000 but had been reduced to 70 per cent of the total amount of money gambled. This means that the prize money could amount to just Lm210,000. Any changes to the lotto game should be made in a way not to encourage clandestine lotto, the union said.

It urged its members to be ready to take action to defend their interests.
