Two photos by photographer Paul Zammit Cutajar have made the finals of the LEN Photo Competition.

The two photos, titled Rivulets and Graceful Sweep and showing swimmers in action, were taken at the World Championships in Rome earlier this month.

Thirteen photos were shortlisted from hundreds of submissions for the final selection of the Best Aquatic Photo 2009, which features all the aquatic events of the year.

Three winners will be chosen.LEN Magazine is the official publication of LEN, the Ligue Europeenne Natation, the governing body of European aquatics.

Readers will also be voting online on the LEN Magazine website (www.lenmagazine.com) for the winner of the Popularity Prize. The online voting will start in September.

Mr Zammit Cutajar is a freelance photographer, contributing to The Sunday Times, among others. Some of his photos from the World Championships were also published in The Times.
