Liverpool produced a stirring comeback as they scored twice in the last 10 minutes to beat Wigan Athletic 3-2 at Anfield while Arsenal also rallied to defeat Everton 3-1 at the Emirates.

Amr Zaki netted twice, including a brilliant scissors kick, as Wigan twice led but two goals for Dirk Kuyt, including the 85th-minute winner, and one by Albert Riera did the job for Liverpool as Wigan paid a heavy price for Antonio Valencia's 75th-minute red card.

Everton led at halftime through a Leon Osman goal before Samir Nasri, Robin van Persie and Theo Walcott turned things round for Arsenal, who had taken only one point from their previous two games.

Chelsea, who began the day's action by thrashing Middlesbrough 5-0 at the Riverside, lead the Premier League on 20 points with Liverpool also on 20 and Arsenal up to third on 16.

Manchester United beat West Bromwich Albion 4-0.
