Summer has kicked in and so have performances started rolling in. It’s no secret that I love being on stage and I say it loud and proud. To me anyone the likes of Susan Boyle who was catapulted to fame and then facing fear to get on a stage and show the world what she’s got, is an inexplicable feeling!

The heat is a killer whilst getting ready for a performance! First there’s the grueling sound check! Usually we’re spoilt for choice! Where a sound check starts as early as 2pm and can linger onto 5pm. Great to get a tan!!!! Yeah right! I ain’t looking forward to the evenings when I get back home jump into the shower and get out wetter than before. (due to the sweat!!) Get to a venue clouded in dust, packed with girls with sweat moustaches and men with patchy backs! Hehehe Thank God we all have music to pull through!

It’s heart warming to perform for people with disabilities or other social problems. I’ve been doing this since the beginning of my career and all I can say is that it makes me realize, the hardships these people, their families and their careers go through every day!

So it was only natural for me to say ‘yes’ instantly when I was asked to play my first electric gig this summer in aid of “Inspire” a charity working hand in hand with ‘The Eden Foundation’ and ‘Razzett Tal-Hbiberija.’ Considering the band and I have been in hibernation since January due to other projects brewing on the side , this electric gig is going to allow us too do what we do best – Perform Live! Sheffield United Players will also be there and ‘Craine’ a band from Sheffield will also be playing a live set.

An event such as this will bring together the families of those who face the daily challenges which life has thrown at them, but also others who, thanks to their attendance will be helping a just cause.

There are so many people out there who need our help. So many who wake up every day and face the world in a different way. So many who cannot see the world because they are blind, others who cannot hear the sweet sounds of music or anyone’s voice because they are deaf, others who will never walk or run again because they have no limbs or are bound to a wheelchair because of an illness or accident. So many parents that would love for their children to tell them at least once that they love them, but unfortunately they are autistic, so many others are showered with love by their down syndrome children who never seem to live long enough. There are days when these people, families, careers do not want to ever wake up, days when they want to give up …..

Please help us to make this event a success and to help others! Click on the link below, it’ll make you think!
