Liquigas Malta said today it is currently distributing new gas regulators, known as New Liquicontrol.

The new regulator meets all European standards and is fully compliant with EN 12864.

As from tomorrow, the new Liquigas green regulators will be available at all Liquigas resellers listed on www.liquigasmalta.com and from Liquigas office in Qajjenza.

All those owning the previous Liquicontrol regulators can replace them with the new green model free of charge.

"Although no leakages or issues of compatibility were reported, last month Liquigas insisted that the Italian manufacturer, Lagoplast, release an upgraded version," the company said.

The Standards Authority a few weeks ago raised concerns about a number of gas regulators.

Liquigas in its statement today observed that while its  green regulators constituted only a small percentage of gas regulators, "thousands of owners of the blue TPA Butane LR2522 regulators (with a red button on the knob) are being left in the dark, as no action has been reported by the importers of these regulators."
