This year marks an important milestone for Lidl Malta: 10 years ago, on April 24, 2008, the company opened its first three outlets in the Maltese islands.

Over these 10 years the company has seen significant growth and an increase in clientele. Such an important feat, however, could not have been achieved without its staff and this is why the company held a Family Day for all the Lidl Malta team and their families on June 3 at Limestone Heritage in Siġġiewi.

Various activities for both adults and children were held, including an area with animators, face painting, a bouncy castle and balloon figures with balloon painting.

The adults and the teenagers could also face off on an inflated gladiator set-up, a large human jenga, a giant Connect 4 and a human table soccer, among other activities. The event also saw a ‘Guess the Value’ game and a lottery.

The circa 500 guests were treated to a BBQ buffet comprising mainly of Lidl branded products. The menu included an assortment of meat and fish options, fresh salads, grilled vegetable and pasta dishes, ideal for both meat lovers and vegetarians.

As part of its corporate social responsibility programme, the company donated a large number of products to Id-Dar tal-Providenza.
