Roman Catholics have an advantage over devotees of other religions. When they commit a crime, all they have to do is go to ‘confession’ and their crime is ‘forgiven’.
In a BBC programme entitled ‘Breaking the seal’, it was reported that an Australian paedophile priest swore in an affidavit in 2004 that he had confessed to child sex abuse over 1,500 times to 30 priests. The paedophile declared: “After each confession, it was like a magic wand had been waved over me.”
