Libya's factions have agreed to a new round of negotiations to attempt to end the North African country's crisis, the United Nations said today.

The meeting will take place next week at the United Nations office at Geneva, the UN mission for Libya said in a statement.

Libya currently has two 'governments' - the internationally recognised government of prime minister Thinni has been forced to operate from the eastern town of Tobruk after the Libya Dawn group, formed around militants from Misrata, took over the capital Tripoli.
