The Libyan Great Al Fateh 1969 Births Association has requested the courts in Malta to issue a warrant of seizure against a Maltese company, claiming it failed to abide by a 2008 contract for the purchase and delivery of 16,000 cars worth some €66.3 million.

The case has been filed against B H International Ltd.

The association is claiming that it had agreed with B H International in August 2008  to purchase and deliver 16,000 cars worth €66.3 million from a Chinese manufacturer.

5,250 of the cars were delivered but their engine specifications and wheel size were not as ordered. No other deliveries were made.

The association is also claiming that company officials went to China and obtained a false letter stating that the cars were the ones which were ordered.

The request was signed by lawyers Jose' Herrera and David Camilleri.

The case had happened at a time when the Births Association was holding preparations to  commemorate the 36th Anniversary of Great Al-Fatah Revolution of 1969.
