Emanuel Axisa (February 28) endorsed the call made by Louis Parnis for the formation of a Consumer Association.
After Mr Parnis saw our letter of February 26 he publicly offered (March 2) to support our Consumers' Association by becoming a member.
Mr Axisa is likewise more than welcome to join our association and help us in our humble efforts to make the consumer's voice heard and try to succeed in the European Union's wish to make consumers the king and queen of the marketplace.
The Consumers' Association provides an advice service and accepts complaints from all consumers because it is an independent, non-profit-making, non-political association run by volunteers who work in their leisure time for no remuneration.
It has to depend on membership fees to fund its activities, among which are the protection of the interests of consumers in Malta and Gozo.
The association is a registered organisation under the Consumer Affairs Act.
Mr Axisa can obtain more details from our website www.camalta.org or by writing to Consumers' Association, 43/10, St Zachary Street, Valletta, VLT 1130.
He can also contact us by e-mail on info@camalta.org or consumer@nextgen.net.mt.
