Less than a quarter of 9,000 gas regulators which were recalled in August have actually been returned by consumers for replacement, the consumer affairs authority said today.

"The MCCAA is urging consumers to return these regulators to the place of purchase to be replaced. The important action to be taken here is that consumers refrain from using these TPA Butane LR2522 and Liquicontrol Malta regulators," the authority aid.

It alsourged consumers to check all  appliances using LPG to ensure that the regulators are compliant.

For any further clarifications, one can contact the Technical Regulations Division of the MCCAA on 23952000.
