Many families enjoyed the several activities organised as part of the sixth edition of Lejlet Lapsi Notte Gozitana this weekend, organised by the Ministry for Gozo.
One of the focal points was the newly renovated Villa Rundle Gardens, its various spots including the Greek-style amphitheatre.
Activities included an Artists’ Garden - with the students of the Music, Arts and Drama Schools in Gozo celebrating the four seasons of culture in art, music, dance and drama, folk groups, animation and face-painting for children as well as dance shows.
Also popular was a Health Awareness Campaign coordinated by the Health Promotion Unit within the Gozo General Hospital.
There were foot and bus tours to rural chapels, the flora and fauna of Gozo’s countryside and the Citadel’s hidden curiosities.
St George’s Square hosted a local crafts and handicrafts fair, with stands of traditional Gozitan crafts and gastronomy products.
Unfortunately, the musical 'Stella u Leone', which was being held this evening had to postponed because of the weather.
This musical, based on the script by Gozitan poetess Mary Meilaq, will now be presented at Villa Rundle on June 3 at 8 p.m.
