What do the songs ‘Get It On', ‘House of The Rising Sun', ‘You Really Got Me Now', ‘The Air That I Breathe', ‘Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood', ‘No Milk Today', ‘Children Of The Revolution' and ‘Blockbuster' have in common? The original bands will perform these global hits live and many more at the Legends of the 60s & 70s Festival in Malta over three days next month.

T. Rex were founded in August 1967 by the legendary Marc Bolan and went on to have massive success with songs like ‘Get it On', ‘Children of the Revolution' ‘Jeepster', ‘Hot love', ‘Metal Guru' and many others. The band captures the true spirit and rode the wave of glam rock. Riding the harder side of the same rock wave were The Sweet. With hits like ‘Ballroom Blitz', ‘Blockbuster', ‘Coco', ‘Teenage Rampage' and ‘Hell Raiser' and ‘Love is like Oxygen' they took the world by storm.

The track record of The Animals is out of this world. That is why in 1994 they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The Animals rocketed to stardom in 1964 with ‘The House of the Rising Sun' and their brand of Blues and R&B. After that they kept on scoring hit after hit - ‘Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood', ‘We Gotta Get Out of This Place', ‘Don't Bring Me Down', ‘Boom, Boom' and many others.

Hailing from Manchester, Herman's Hermits were the clean-cut "boys next door" pop stars of the British sixties. Their music is accessible, melodious and still has a very wide audience. Their hits include ‘No Milk Today', ‘Mrs. Brown, You've Got a Lovely Daughter', ‘I'm Into Something Good', ‘My Sentimental Friend', ‘There's a Kind of Hush (All Over the World)'. Later on in their career, the band worked with session musicians, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones, who later formed Led Zeppelin.

Legends of the 60s is a band made up of members of The Kinks and The Hollies. The Kinks are one of the most important bands in rock history, making a mark in the US as well as their native Britain. Like the Beatles and The Rolling Stones, their unique sound and style defined genres and transcended eras. Their hits include ‘You Really Got Me', ‘Lola', ‘Waterloo Sunset', ‘Sunny Afternoon', ‘Dedicated Follower of Fashion', and many more.

Popular to this day, The Hollies hit the sixties running with their sweet-voiced, upbeat and well-crafted pop. ‘The Air That I Breathe', ‘Long Cool Woman in A Black Dress', ‘He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother', and ‘King Midas in Reverse' all feature their trademark harmonies and perfect melodies.
