Prof. Rei Shiratori, select professor of Political Studies at Akita International University and Honorary Consul for Malta in Japan, will be giving a lecture on the theme 'Japanese Politics after Koizumi: Beginning of New Style Politics or End of Regime?' on Tuesday at 5.30 p.m. in the University's Lecture Theatre 1.

Prof. Shiratori is currently president of Japan's Institute for Political Studies. He is also Emeritus Professor of Dokkyo University and Tokai University in Japan.

While the lecture is primarily aimed at students of Public Policy and Political Studies, students of International Relations or other faculties or interested members of the public are also welcome.
