The University’s Department of International Relations will be hosting a lecture by Joseph Ben-Dak as part of its 2010/2011 lecture series.

The lecture, entitled ‘The Causes and Effects of the Politicisation of International Institutions’, will be held at Maths and Physics Building Room 401 on Thursday at 10 a.m.

Dr Ben-Dak has an extensive record in sustainable science and technology, in security and defense management combined with positive peace advocacy, and an international development planning career comprising investment management, strategic evaluation positions, diplomacy, licensing, program and project administration, personal and corporate business, political risk and international service with senior academic appointments in five countries.

Dr Ben-Dak is chairman and chief technology officer of Knowledge Planning Corporation. He is also counsel with Mid-Market Securities, Investment Banking Advisors, New York, on international strategy and sustainable science management. Dr Ben-Dak also presently serves on the boards of several corporations.

Dr Ben-Dak previously served as principal advisor to the UN secretary general, and as founder and chief of the United Nations Global Technology Group.
