I have lived in the same terraced house for the past 50 years. Recently the residence next to mine was bought by a third party and demolished and then rebuilt.  However, the new permit issued by the authorities included an extra one-and-a-half storey building.

As a result, sunlight to my roof was curtailed for the greater part of the day. So my plans to install solar panels on my roof were simply thrashed.

My question is: Is this fair? A new tenant can install solar panels to the detriment of a tenant who has been living in the street for the past 50 years!

This is simply ridiculous – if our laws allow this I can only compare them to the laws of the jungle.
