An Animation Community community has been launched in Malta aimed at those that are interested in all aspects of film animation.

The goal of Animation Malta which has been set up by a group of young talented Maltese animators is to help bring together established and upcoming artists in the field of animation to join forces, network and help the industry grow.

Through the Facebook page ‘animationmalta’ the group wants to help local animators to become aware of each other and to collaborate on animation projects.

Animation has been one of the most powerful and pure methods of storytelling for over 100 years and storytelling will forever be an essential part of human existence. Animation strives on collaboration and the meeting of various creative minds and artistic disciplines.

With the local film industry starting to find its footing, the timing is perfect to nurture and push animation, according to the organisers.
