At a meeting of the Malta Model Boating Association, held recently, the One Metre Sailing season calendar was launched.

There seems to be great enthusiasm for the upcoming monthly competitions with the introduction of some new hull designs that promise high standards of racing throughout the season.

Racing this year will reflect the evolution of model boat design.

However, there is no doubt that boats in the 2002 fleet are still competitive and could clinch any of the honours at stake.

The official races are scheduled for the third week of every month up till June.

The locations will vary as it was suggested to hold events at different sites around the islands.
