The biggest installation of photovoltaic panels in Malta was inaugurated this morning at the premises of Michael Debono Ltd in Zebbug.

The inauguration was made by Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi and Resources Minister George Pullicino, who praised the company for its environmental awareness.

The company said the installation consists of 432 panels which will generate 150,000 kWh of electricity per year.

A significant part of the project was paid for through EU funds and the company also received assistance from Malta Enterprise and the Resources Ministry.
