One of the world’s rarest Italian supercars will be auctioned this June at London’s Motorexpo show.

Its believed that the Lamborghini Reventón offered for sale is the only one in the UK, but at the very least it is definitely one of only 20 ever made.

The Reventón was unveiled to the public at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show, but before it ever saw the light of day every one of the 20 had pre-sold for a million Euros each, plus local taxes.

Powered by a glorious 6.5-litre V12 engine producing 650bhp, the carbon-fibre Reventón can crack the 0-62 mph sprint in just 3.4 seconds and go on to a top speed of 211mph, ensuring the car has more than enough pace to live up to its stunning F-22 Raptor jet fighter-inspired body.

With that in mind, and following the current trend for super-high-value cars only getting more valuable, it’s anticipated that bidding for the car will exceed £1 million.

“The appearance, let alone sale, of a car as rare as the Lamborghini Reventón is sure to attract a large number of supercar enthusiasts and collectors to Motorexpo this summer,” said Graeme Carver, Motorexpo CEO.

Although there will be many high-value cars being sold at Motorexpo, a number of manufacturers will be exhibiting their ranges, allowing people to get up close and hands-on with their potential next car.

Showgoers can see cars from Bentley, BMW, Jaguar, Kia, Land Rover, Mercedes, Vauxhall and Volvo, with more potentially still to confirm.

Motorexpo is being held at Canary Wharf from June 11-17, open from 10am to 6pm Monday to Saturday and 11am to 5pm on Sunday. For more information visit www.motorexpo.com.
