A car was destroyed by fire at about 11.20 a.m. close to the Mdina Road, Zebbug, roundabout, emitting a huge cloud of black fumes.

No one was injured but traffic had to be diverted until the fire was put out.

The situation returned to norm at 11.45 a.m.
