The Labour Party’s spokesman for the environment this morning filed a police report to Police Commissioner John Rizzo, requesting procedures to be taken against the company or person responsible of dumping waste oil and other waste close to Hexagon House.

Such action had shrouded Hexagon House in odours, causing numerous problems, including for employees within the building.

Addressing a news conference this morning, Mr Brincat said that the dumping had been confirmed in reply to parliamentary questions he had asked, after which he had expected action against those responsible, namely Falzon Waste Oils.

Such action was not taken and the limit of time within which it could be taken had now expired so he had no other option but to present the police report.
