Kylie Minogue exuded glamour as she performed at New York's annual lighting of the Rockefeller Centre Christmas tree.

The singer was among a host of stars who turned out for the traditional ceremony in the Big Apple.

Other performers included Mariah Carey, Susan Boyle, Jessica Simpson, Katherine Jenkins, Sheryl Crow, Boyz II Men, Annie Lennox, Josh Groban and teen pop star Charice.

Tens of thousands of people gathered to watch the lighting of the country's most famous Christmas tree, with 30,000 energy-efficient lights.

While wrapping up from the cold, Kylie, who performed Santa Baby and Let It Snow, still looked glamorous in a fluffy snow-white coat and over-the-knee high-heel boots.

Britain's Got Talent runner-up Susan performed Away In A Manger, accompanied by a children's choir.

The 74-foot Norway spruce came from the garden of Peter Acton, a New York City firefighter who was among the first to respond to the September 11 attacks.
